HPE VM Essential/Morpheus appliance manager root disk extend size of file systems

 Problem:

My issue was always the HPE VM essentials/Morpheus Appliance manager will be by default 100GB space and it get filled very fast and UI crashes.


Solution:

From VME Manager, Go to the infrastructure->Compute->Virtual machine
Find out the VME Manager appliance VM
     -Right click->Actions
     -Select reconfigure
     -Change the Disk space to 200GB:
     


           -Login via SSH to VME appliance
           -Check the disk space increased by command: lsblk
           -Use growpart to extend the partition:  growpart  /dev/vda 2
           -Increase file system using: resize2fs /dev/vda2
