Solution:


Press ESC key when it boots up to ignore the drive cache error.

ESXCLI command to check vasaprovider and storagecontainer list

 Use the below command to check whether the VASA provider and storage container available on esx

 OTV/VSC service resource optimization should be done for better performance.


on OTV:

vi /etc/init.d/vpservice

and increase JAVA memory to desired value (example: start_vpservice->$JAVA_Options Xmx4096m

the vCenter service username specified doesnot have the Log on as a service privilege

 

Error:

the vCenter service username specified does not have the Log on as a service privilege

Solution:

Go to Local security policy and enable "log on as a service " permission.


1.Logon to the computer with administrative privileges.
2.Open the ‘Administrative Tools’ and open the ‘Local Security Policy’
3.Expand ‘Local Policy’ and click on ‘User Rights Assignment’
4.In the right pane, right-click ‘Log on as a service’ and select properties.
5.Click on the ‘Add User or Group…’ button to add the new user.
6.In the ‘Select Users or Groups’ dialogue, find the user you wish to enter and click ‘OK’
7.Click ‘OK’ in the ‘Log on as a service Properties’ to save changes.




How to Change Vcenter server hostname easily

 


To change hostname:


login via ssh root to vCenter server

then run below command:
